SKIING & BOARDING
Niseko is the powder capitol of the world has an array of great local ski fields, from easy slopes to more challenging back country powder skiing and boarding. Rusutsu is only a 30 minute drive down the road too, for some awesome terrain and tree skiing.
ONSENS
The Niseko region has a profusion of onsens, all within a relatively short distance. There's so many it's hard to choose a favourite but the results of a soak are very therapeutic after a day on the slopes.
RESTAURANTS & BARS
The Niseko region is full of incredible restaurants and bars.
From fresh and local Hokkaido favourite to 5-star French cuisine, there's no shortage of awesome eats. Note, it pays to book early over the ski season.
Not just a winter destination.
Hokkaido is a great destination all year round. There's the much-anticipated cherry blossom season during late April and early May and all the festivities that come with it!
Otaru canal is a year round destination with its nostalgic buildings dating back to the 18th century and amazing seafood. Then there's the storybook scenery, fields of colourful flowers in the summer, cycling tours, white water rafting, canoeing, fishing in the near by lakes, horse trekking and more.
RELAXATION
If you're just looking to simply relax and unwind, the Higashiyama Log House is the perfect place to do it. With plenty of space to stretch out and enjoy the peaceful surroundings on the edge of a birch forest.
